How We Got Here…
My name is Nathan, and I started my lawn care business when I was fifteen years old. At the very beginning, the name was Lucky Lobster Lawn Care. It was fun, and it worked at the time. But as I grew and started taking the business more seriously, I knew I wanted something more professional. That is when NxT Gen Lawns was created. What started as a way to make money quickly became something I truly cared about. I realized I enjoy working outside, improving properties, and serving people in my community.
I have always believed that if you are going to do something, you should do it the right way. Lawn care is not just cutting grass and leaving. It is about the details. Straight lines. Clean edges. Proper mowing height. Blowing everything off so the property looks sharp when I drive away. I take pride in leaving a lawn looking noticeably better than when I showed up. Starting young forced me to grow up quickly. I had to learn how to communicate professionally, manage schedules, maintain equipment, and stand behind my work. If something is not right, I fix it. If I say I am going to be there, I show up.
Where We’re Going
My long term goal is much bigger than just mowing lawns. I want to grow NxT Gen Lawns into a company that creates real opportunities for other young adults and high school students. I want to give them the chance I had, to learn responsibility, leadership, and discipline through running a business. I plan to mentor them not just in how to mow a lawn, but how to manage money, communicate with customers, lead with confidence, and build something of their own. I want to help them start and run businesses based on biblical principles, integrity, hard work, honesty, and serving others before serving yourself.
One day, I would love to see multiple crews operating under NxTGen Lawns, each led by young adults who are serious about excellence and character. My vision is to build a company that develops strong leaders, strengthens families, and makes a positive impact in the community, not just through great lawns, but through the people behind the work.
NxT Gen Lawns is just the beginning. I plan to keep improving, keep raising the standard, and build something that lasts.
